Gangasagar Mela:
Every year during Gangasagar mela, the South 24 Parganas district Administration requisition Saity's hearse vanservice. Hindu Satkar Samity sets up two camps, one at Kadwip and another at Sapan to carry the dead bodies of pilgrims, if any.
Tarpan:
Apart from disposing the unclaimed dead bodies in a decent and hygienic manner, every year the Samity organises the Tarpan ceremony on Mahalaya day to pay homage to these departed souls.
Bhutnath Yatru Nivas
The samity has set-up Shree Bhutnath Yatru Nivas at Puri for convenient stay of pilgrims at Sree Shree Jagannath Dham.

With a humble beginning of carrying and cremating 161 dead bodies in the very first year of its existence, the Samity has silently served the people of Calcutta, Howrah and the Suburb for the last 81 years. Since its inception till the present times, the Samity has carried and cremated about 3 lacks of dead bodies!

Presently the Samity has a fleet of Four Hearse Vans to carry dead bodies, which apart from operating in Kolkata, Howrah and their suburbs, carry dead bodies to the neighbouring districts and states.
